Every wedding day is unique and special in its own way, but as a wedding photographer, there are some days that really remind me why I do what I do. Sometimes it’s sentimental vows, an emotional father daughter dance or just the dreamiest light. Stephanie and Jim’s wedding day was a special mix of everything.
Most of the time we have an opportunity meet our couples before the wedding day for their engagement session or just to grab a coffee, but we weren’t able to meet Stephanie and Jim until we arrived at The Connecticut River Valley Inn on the day of their wedding. even so, from the moment we introduced ourselves, it felt like we had known them for ages.
Joe spent some time with Jim and his Groomsmen taking some of their portraits, while I was up in the bridal suite with all of the ladies. Before we knew it, the ceremony was about to begin and we all went outside to the stunning outdoor ceremony space. Their ceremony was so sweet and personalized.
After the ceremony, we photographed their families, bridal party, and finally the bride and groom! There is a giant willow tree towards the back of the property which made the perfect backdrop.
The rest of the evening was filled with dancing and laughter, especially when Stephanie’s dad needed a flashlight to finish reading his speech. Congratulations, Stephanie and Jim, on your new life together. I hope I get an opportunity to photograph you again!
